Every Tues. from 1:00pm to 2:30pm Little Riot Art Academy offers a 10-week creative program designed for homeschool children ages 6–12 who thrive with hands-on learning, small group instruction, and real artistic skill development. Located in Cambridge and serving families across Kitchener, Waterloo, and the surrounding region, our homeschool art program helps young artists build confidence, creativity, and technical skills in a warm, supportive studio environment. With a maximum of 6 students, every child receives personalized attention and guided support while exploring a wide range of artistic techniques. Across the 10 weeks, young artists will build a strong foundation in essential art concepts, including: -Line, shape, and pattern -Colour theory and mixing -Value, shading, and creating depth -Perspective and composition -Portrait basics -Mixed media + 3D art -Creative storytelling through art Each lesson is paired with a guided project that reinforces the week’s technique. By the end of the program, students will have a full collection of work to take home—including a filled art journal that showcases their growth. Program Structure Each class runs for 90 minutes and follows a consistent, child-friendly flow: 1. Mini Art Lesson (10–15 minutes) A simple, engaging introduction to that week’s concept. 2. Guided Project (55–60 minutes) Kids apply the lesson right away with paint, clay, mixed media, or drawing. 3. If the minimum is not reached by the enrollment deadline, families will receive the option of a full refund or transfer to the next available session.
