WAIVERS!

Let's get the boring stuff out of the way. Everyone must sign a waiver to join in on the fun. This covers our butts and protects yours. We also need the party host to sign our service agreement giving us permission to go completely wild!

About Background.png
WHAT IS THE PAINT RIOT?

The Paint Riot is an interactive art studio in Cambridge where you can splatter, squirt, and sling paint in a safe, mess-friendly space. It’s all about creativity without the pressure — or the cleanup.

DO I NEED TO BE "ARTISITC" TO COME?

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Absolutely not. This is about self-expression, fun, and mess — not fine art. Whether you’re a pro or haven’t picked up a brush in years, you’ll have a blast.

IS IT KID-FRIENDLY?

Totally! We allow participants of all ages. Most of our sessions are great for all ages, though younger kids will enjoy Mini Mayhem or sensory options best. We also have adult-only sessions available.

DO YOU HAVE FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE?

We know that a creative brain can't work at 100% without snacks! We have lots of different snacks and drinks available to purchase and unlimited coffee, tea, and water FREE when you come in for your session.

DO I NEED TO SUPERVISE MY KIDS IN THE SPLATTER ROOM?

Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and require active supervision throughout the experience.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We provide full protective gear including ponchoes, shoe covers, and goggles, but we always recommend wearing something you’re not afraid to get paint on just in case.

The main studio is a no outdoor shoes space (socks or slippers welcome).
However, shoes must be worn in the splatter rooms.

PAINT
&
SAFETY GEAR

IS THE PAINT SAFE?

Yes! We use non-toxic, washable paint that’s safe for skin and easy to rinse off.

CAN I BRING MY OWN GEAR?

Absolutely! As long as you know the potential risks of ruining (or improving) your favourite pair of shoes or the shirt you borrowed from your BFF, by all means, wear what makes you comfortable.

WILL THE PAINT STAIN?

Skin? No. Clothing? There is a chance. So even though you will be covered for the most part, we cannot guarantee you won't find a few splatters here and there when you leave.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

BOOKINGS
&
PRICING

You can book online through our website or give us a call at 519-841-7468. Sessions are per person and space is limited, so we recommend booking ahead — especially for weekends or private events.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Occasionally! Walk-ins are welcome during posted hours, but availability isn’t guaranteed. Best to check our social media for updates or book ahead to be safe.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Each session includes a canvas to paint and take home, a whole bunch of paint and painting tools, and protective gear to wear in the room. The canvas size and the amount of paint you receive will vary depending on which type of session you book. Specific details of what is included in each will be listed under each service description.

DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULING?

We have a 48-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. Rescheduling less than 48 hours before your scheduled session will result in a $25 rescheduling fee and cancellations will forfeit your deposit.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE POLICY

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early. Sessions begin and end on time, and guests must exit promptly so we can reset for the next group.

DO YOU OFFER BIRTHDAY PARTIES?

PARTIES
&
EVENTS

Yes! We have dedicated party packages with private space, guided or splatter options, and everything you need to celebrate in colourful style. Check out our Party Riot here.

CAN I BRING FOOD OR CAKE?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks, drinks, and cake for private bookings. Just keep it nut-free and respectful of our space.

CAN I COME EARLY TO SET UP FOR THE PARTY?

You’re welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before your scheduled booking. Earlier arrivals may be asked to wait outside while we finish setup.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN ATTEND THE PARTY?

The minimum number of guests for a party is 6. For our splatter parties, the max number of participants we can accommodate is 12 adults or 15 children, split into our two rooms. Our large room fits 10 children or 8 adults comfortably, while our smaller room next to it fits 4 adults or 5 children. For our guided paint nights, we can accommodate a 20 person party.
